περὶ δὲ τῆς βρώσεως, ὃ δύνασαι βάστασον· ἀπὸ δὲ τοῦ εἰδωλοθύτου λίαν πρόσεχε· λατρεία γάρ ἐστι θεῶν νεκρῶν.

## English translation (Claude)

And concerning food, bear what you are able; but keep strictly away from food offered to idols, for it is worship of dead gods.
