ὅθεν ἐλύετο πᾶσα μαγεία καὶ πᾶς δεσμὸς ἠφανίζετο κακίας· ἄγνοια καθῃρεῖτο, παλαιὰ βασιλεία διεφθείρετο θεοῦ ἀνθρωπίνως φανερουμένου εἰς καινότητα ἀϊδίου ζωῆς· ἀρχὴν δὲ ἐλάμβανεν τὸ παρὰ θεῷ ἀπηρτισμένον. ἔνθεν τὰ πάντα συνεκινεῖτο διὰ τὸ μελετᾶσθαι θανάτου κατάλυσιν.

## English translation (Claude)

From then on all magic was dissolved and every bond of wickedness vanished; ignorance was abolished, and the ancient kingdom was destroyed, when God appeared in human form to bring the newness of eternal life; and what had been prepared by God began to take effect. Hence all things were thrown into commotion, because the abolition of death was being prepared.
