Γράφω δὲ ὑμῖν ταῦτα ἀπὸ Σμύρνης διʼ Ἐφεσίων τῶν ἀξιομακαρίστων. ἔστιν δὲ καὶ ἅμα ἐμοὶ σὺν ἄλλοις πολλοῖς καὶ Κρόκος, τὸ ποθητόν μοι ὄνομα.

I am writing these things to you from Smyrna by the hand of the Ephesians, who are worthy of blessing. With me, among many others, is Crocus, a name dear to me.
