Χριστοῦ, φασί, τὸ ἀνοίκειον φυγόντος καὶ συσταλέντος εἰς τὸ πλήρωμα, ἐκ τῆς μητρῴας γενομένου ἐννοίας, ἡ μήτηρ αὖθις τὸν τῆς οἰκονομίας προηγάγετο ἄρχοντα εἰς τύπον τοῦ φυγόντος αὐτὴν κατʼ ἐπιπόθησιν αὐτοῦ, κρείττονος ὑπάρχοντος, ὃς ἦν τύπος τοῦ πατρὸς τῶν ὅλων.

When Christ, they say, fled what was alien and withdrew into the Pleroma, having come from his mother's thought, the mother in turn brought forth the Ruler of the plan, as a type of the one who fled her, out of longing for him, since he was superior; and he was a type of the Father of all.
