Jeconiah, also called Jehoahaz, his son, succeeded Josiah for three months and ten days. From the birth of Moses to this deportation, then, there are, as some say, nine hundred and seventy-two years, but according to the exact chronology, a thousand and eighty-five years, six months, and ten days; and from the reign of David to the captivity by the Chaldeans, four hundred and fifty-two years and six months, but as our exact reckoning of the times gathers, four hundred and eighty-two years, six months, and ten days.
