And if someone says mockingly, “And how is it possible for weak flesh to resist the powers and the spirits of the authorities?” let him know this, that trusting in the Almighty and the Lord we wage war against the rulers of darkness and against death. “While you are still speaking,” he says, “he will say, ‘Here I am.’” See the invincible helper who shields us. “Do not be surprised, then,” says Peter, “at the fiery trial that comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you; but insofar as you share in Christ's sufferings, rejoice, so that at the revelation of his glory you may also rejoice with gladness. If you are reproached in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.” As it is written: “For your sake we are being killed all day long; we were regarded as sheep for slaughter. But in all these things we are more than conquerors through the one who loved us.”
