Shepherd of Hermas, Similitude 1.3 (50.3)
Summary: The lord of this world's city will expel those who do not keep his laws.
English · Claude translation
Foolish, double-minded, and wretched man, do you not understand that all these things belong to others and are under the power of another? For the lord of this city will say, ‘I do not want you to live in my city; get out of this city, because you do not keep my laws.’
