καὶ ἐπερωτᾷ ὁ ποιμὴν τὰς παρθένους, εἰ ἄρα παρεγεγόνει ὁ δεσπότης τοῦ πύργου. αἱ δὲ ἔφησαν μέλλειν αὐτὸν ἔρχεσθαι κατανοῆσαι τὴν οἰκοδομήν.

And the shepherd asked the virgins whether the master of the tower had arrived. And they said that he was about to come to inspect the building.
