Πρὸς τούτοις καὶ ἁλούσης ὑμῶν τῆς πόλεως καὶ τῆς γῆς ἐρημωθείσης οὐ μετανοεῖτε, ἀλλὰ καὶ καταρᾶσθαι αὐτοῦ καὶ τῶν πιστευόντων εἰς αὐτὸν πάντων τολμᾶτε. Καὶ ἡμεῖς ὑμᾶς καὶ τοὺς διʼ ὑμᾶς τοιαῦτα καθʼ ἡμῶν ὑπειληφότας οὐ μισοῦμεν, ἀλλʼ εὐχόμεθα κἂν νῦν μετανοήσαντας πάντας ἐλέους τυχεῖν παρὰ τοῦ εὐσπλάγχνου καὶ πολυελέου πατρὸς τῶν ὅλων θεοῦ.

“Besides this, even when your city has been taken and your land laid waste, you do not repent, but dare to curse him and all who believe in him. And we do not hate you or those who because of you have conceived such opinions against us, but we pray that even now all of you may repent and obtain mercy from God, the compassionate and very merciful Father of all.
