Εἰσὶ δὲ οἱ λόγοι οὗτοι· Ἐθεώρουν ἕως ὅτου θρόνοι ἐτέθησαν, καὶ ὁ παλαιὸς ἡμερῶν ἐκάθητο, ἔχων περιβολὴν ὡσεὶ χιόνα λευκήν, καὶ τὸ τρίχωμα τῆς κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦ ὡσεὶ ἔριον καθαρόν, ὁ θρόνος αὐτοῦ ὡσεὶ φλὸξ πυρός, οἱ τροχοὶ αὐτοῦ πῦρ φλέγον. Ποταμὸς πυρὸς εἷλκεν ἐκπορευόμενος ἐκ προσώπου αὐτοῦ· χίλιαι χιλιάδες ἐλειτούργουν αὐτῷ, καὶ μύριαι μυριάδες παρειστήκεισαν αὐτῷ. Βίβλοι ἀνεῷχθησαν, καὶ κριτήριον ἐκάθισεν.

“These are the words: ‘I beheld until thrones were set, and the Ancient of Days sat, having a garment white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne like a flame of fire, its wheels burning fire. A river of fire flowed out, going forth from before his face; a thousand thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. Books were opened, and the court sat.
