Καὶ ὁ Τρύφων ἔφη· Ὅτι διʼ ἡμᾶς ἀξιώσαντας ἀνιστόρησας αὐτάς, ἐπιστάμεθα. Περὶ δὲ τοῦ ψαλμοῦ τούτου, ὃν τελευταῖον ἔφης ἀπὸ τῶν Δαυΐδ λόγων, οὐ δοκεῖ μοι εἰς ἄλλον τινὰ εἰρῆσθαι ἀλλʼ εἰς τὸν πατέρα, τὸν καὶ τοὺς οὐρανοὺς καὶ τὴν γῆν ποιήσαντα· σὺ δʼ αὐτὸν φῂς εἰς τὸν παθητὸν τοῦτον, ὃν καὶ Χριστὸν εἶναι σπουδάζεις ἀποδεικνύναι, εἰρῆσθαι.

And Trypho said, “We know that you recounted them because we asked. But concerning this psalm, which you quoted last from the words of David, it does not seem to me to be spoken of anyone else but the Father, who made the heavens and the earth; but you say it was spoken of this man who suffered, whom you are eager to prove to be the Christ.”
