τῷ δὲ ἀνέσεως πρὸ ὥρας λαβομένῳ προσφθείρονταί τινες ἥλικες ἀργοὶ καὶ ἀπερρωγότες, ἐθάδες κακῶν· καὶ πρῶτον μὲν διʼ ἑστιάσεων πολυτελῶν αὐτὸν ὑπάγονται. εἶτά που καὶ νύκτωρ ἐπὶ λωποδυσίαν ἐξιόντες συνεπάγονται, εἶτά τι καὶ μεῖζον συμπράττειν ἠξίουν.

But, as he had gained freedom too early, some idle, dissolute young men of his age, accustomed to evil, corrupted him. First they drew him on with expensive banquets; then they took him along when they went out at night to rob; then they thought fit to have him join in something greater.
